In August 2023, the New York Community Legal Aid Center was established by a number of organizations including the Asian American Bar Association and Ailder Law Firm. It is a non-profit organization aimed at providing solid legal support and assistance to underprivileged communities in New York. We have gathered the strength of professionals from various fields and are dedicated to promoting the values of justice, fairness, and legal equality within the community.
iLead Law Group PC, a U.S.-based law firm, announced on August 24, 2023, Eastern Time, that it had established the first China Evergrande bankruptcy protection creditor rights protection center in New York, U.S. in response to the bankruptcy application filed by China Evergrande Group, Scenery Journey Limited and Tianji Holdings Limited in the Southern District of New York. The law firm is now gathering China Evergrande creditors worldwide to protect their interests.
In October 2023, in response to the increasing incidence of youth violence and school bullying in the United States, the Asian American Attorneys Association, the Community Legal Aid Center of New York, and iLead Law Group, P.C. jointly established the Anti-Bullying Legal Aid Center. In October 2023, a rally against violence was held primarily for Chinese families outside PS264 Elementary School in Brooklyn, New York, calling for greater attention to school bullying and youth violence in the community and across the United States. The Anti-Bullying Legal Aid Center provides legal support for Chinese families through online and offline means to protect the rights of the Chinese community.
